“Food is our common ground, a universal experience.”
James Beard
Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world, with 17,508 islands, 1340 ethnic groups, and more than 700 living languages. With this diversity, comes a wealth of culinary tradition that is much loved at home, but much of which is rarely seen abroad.
We asp to communicate the multicultural nature of Indonesia through food. Also, raising a greater awareness of Indonesian food to Toronto.

We’re working on it!
Currently, we don’t have a permanent restaurant. However, we are working towards it. Our ultimate goal is to build an Indonesian Bistro in the GTA where everyone can enjoy authentic Indonesian food. In the mean time, we currently do pop-up stores & weekend events. Follow us on Instagram @sambal.to for updates.
